The Naprej/Forward Festival, organized by the Slovene Association of Journalists in collaboration with Slovenian media houses, was held for the thirteenth time in 2024.
The festival’s minimalist visual identity symbolizes the connection between the local and the global, abstractly communicating the event’s conceptual framework.
The four-day Naprej/Forward Festival took place in December 2024 in Kranj, Celje, and Ljubljana. It hosted 21 speakers on stage. The Čuvaj awards were presented to journalists, journalistic teams, and photographers, recognizing outstanding achievements in the past year, along with a lifetime achievement award for contributions to Slovenian journalism.
The festival’s partners were N1 Slovenia, PRO PLUS, d.o.o., Gorenjski glas, Al Jazeera Balkans, Delo, TSmedia, d.o.o., the Slovenian Press Agency (STA), RTV Slovenia, Večer, and the Kranj City Library. The festival was also supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia.
